The college has started M.Sc in Information Technology in the year 2004 under the Department of Computer Scienceand Information Technology.

The Information Technology field allows students to bring their general computer knowledge into a variety of specialized niches. The world of Information Technology is always growing and changing, so learning how to keep up with the pace of technology is one of the most important things students learn when enrolled in a post graduation program.

Staying current on trends in technology and the changing online environment can increase job security and upward mobility.The increasing role played by information technology in the development of society calls for increasing number of seats for professional courses like Computer Science and Information technology.

Almost all of our academic staff are involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Students are actively involved in internships and projects modules. Many students spend summers as interns in companies. Social activities include participation in Art and Music competitions, Welcoming Fresher’s, Sports and Gaming Sessions, IT festivals HORIZON, Industrial visits. Students often win awards at collegiate and intercollegiate competitions and events. We also encourage the students to take up NCC and NSS at the undergraduate level for overall personality development.

• Ability to apply the knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights, Cyber Laws and Cyber Forensics and various standards in interest of National Security and Integrity along with IT Industry.
• Ability to write effective project reports, research publications and content development and to work in multidisciplinary environment in the context of changing technologies.

There will be 20 seats per batch. All the admissions will be on merit basis. Reservation criterion is followed as prescribed by government at the time of admission.Students securing minimum 40 percent marks at the three year B.Sc. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, B.E, BCA, B.Sc (Maths), B.Sc (Physics), B.Sc (Stats), B.Sc (Electronics) of Mumbai university or any recognized university is eligible for the admission.

What Will I Study?

The computer science and information technology courses are designed to ground you in both the theory and practical of computer science and information technology. You will learn how to think and solve Problems logically (“computational thinking”), understand the fundamental principles of how computing systems work, and be exposed to significant new technologies. In the first years you will learn the basic concepts behind computer science and several different programming languages, while in the next two (or three) years you will learn about advanced and cutting-edge topics at the frontier of our subject.
