The Department of Accountancy is one of the departments of Commerce faculty. The department has qualified and experienced teachers. They continuously upgrade themselves by actively participating in the seminars and workshops. One of our faculty members has completed the Minor Research Projects funded by University of Mumbai.
At T.Y.B.Com level, the department offers the subject Direct and Indirect Taxation as one of the applied component subjects.
As part of the Annual Academic Festival-SRUJAN FEST, the department of Accountancy organizes the guest lectures for students every year,jointly with Commerce and Economics departments. The department gets the overwhelming response in this academic festival.
As per the National Education Policy 2020, the Department of Commerce has started the Commerce subject as a Major subject for B. Com programme from the academic year 2025-26.

Brief overview –
Dept of Commerce, Accountancy and Economics in Association with IQAC and Research Promotion Committee organized the Virtual National Conference on “INDIA AT 2031: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES” on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022. In this conference, total 49 teachers from Maharashtra and out of Maharashtra have presented their research papers.

2024-25
The departments of Accountancy and Commerce jointly organized a guest lecture on the topic “UNION BUDGET 2024-25” on Monday, 2nd Sept. 2024 at 8.30 a.m. at 0.8 Auditorium. The Guest Speaker was Prof. Dr. Jayant Apte, FCA, Former Principal and HOD of Accountancy, Ghanshyamdas Saraf College of Commerce & Arts, Malad (E), Mumbai. He focused on the current situation of the economy as well as the highlights of the provisions of the Budget to keep up our economy.
