- Eligibility
The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) is a three-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of accounting, finance, and business principles. The program is aligned with Program Outcomes (PO) for outcome based education to ensure students develop the necessary skills to manage financial data, prepare financial statements, analyze investments, and navigate the accounting profession’s regulatory frameworks.
The BAF program at Kirti M Doongursee College ensures holistic education by combining theory, industry exposure, skill enhancement, and innovation in learning, making students ready for the dynamic finance sector.
- Three-year undergraduate course with a major in Financial Accounting and Management and a minor in Integrated Finance.
- Inclusion of Environmental Studies (EVS), Vocational Skill Courses (VSC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Indian Knowledge System (IKS), and co-curricular courses.
- Practical exposure through seminars, projects, and internships.
- Prepares students for careers in accounting firms, financial institutions, and corporate finance.
BAF program covers key subjects, including financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, corporate finance, financial management, financial law, managerial economics, and auditing. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP), the program offers a major in Financial Accounting and Management, complemented by a minor in Integrated Finance. Additionally, it integrates essential components such as Environmental Studies (EVS), Vocational Skill Courses (VSC), and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) Indian Knowledge System (IKS), languages and Co-curricular courses (CC) to develop well-rounded professionals. The curriculum further includes seminars, projects, and internships, ensuring valuable hands-on experience.
The program prepares students for a wide range of careers in accounting firms, financial institutions, corporate finance departments, and other business sectors. It also provides a strong foundation for pursuing professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and further studies like an MBA.

• The BAF Department organized diverse academic, cultural, environmental, and career-oriented activities for holistic student development.
• Skill enhancement programmes included Advance Excel, TEL Programme with WIRC, Risk Management Analysis, and Mulyankan Employability Workshop, strengthening technical, accounting, taxation, communication, and interview skills.
• Career guidance sessions such as Career Options in Cost and Management Accounting and NIIT’s Open Multiple Career Path exposed students to professional opportunities.
• Academic engagement was promoted through Viksit Bharat Budget Discussion, Environmental Movements Presentation, and Portfolio Management Chart Competition.
• Cultural and creative participation was encouraged through Srujan Chart Making, Colours of Navratri, National Camera Day, and World Paper Bag Day exhibitions.
• NIVESH events, including Kirti’s Got Talent and AV Room, fostered finance awareness, talent, and teamwork.
• Orientation, Parent-Teacher Meeting, and Scholarship Distribution strengthened institutional support.

TYBAF – Mitesh Shigwan won 1st prize in an event of Stock Market BMS which is called as EKYM.
Under SRUJAN, few enriching events were held . The Viksit Bharat Budget 2024 Discussion helped BAF students understand budget impacts on sectors like education and healthcare, with insights from guest speakers Akshata Kadam and Prateek Sinha. The Super Mega Career Counselling Programme guided students on finance careers, with C.A. Priyanka Palrecha highlighting C.A. opportunities, industry skills, and aligning career goals with personal strengths.

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting &Finance) degree must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination
