Physics department of D.E. Society’s Kirti M. DoongurseeCollege came into existence in 1954 in the year of college establishment. Department has acheived several milestones and produced a galaxy of eminent personalities like Shri . Suhas Naik- Satam ( Ex- program officer Nehru Planetarium ) Prof. Bhagat ( Department of Physics , DyansadhanaColllege ) Prof.Chandrashekhar Kulkarni (Department of Physics ,Thadumal Engineering College )

Physics Department conduct various departmental activities which includes Poster making, Model Making and PAT (Physics Aptitude Test). Along with that Physics department also organizes workshop and seminars on emerging trends in Physics.
Department organizes various activities every year . Some of them are as follows.
1. Departmental Festival ‘JIDNYASA ‘ is organized in the month of December. Physics Students from First year , Second year and Third Year take part in this .
Poster making competition (On given Physics related theme )
Physics Model Making Competition ( On given subjects )
Physics aptitude Test ( PET )
are conducted under ‘ JIDNYASA ‘ . Wining students are awarded with prizes and Certificates.
