  8.    Teaching Aids like charts, maps, books, computer and LCD projector for training the cadets.
  9.    Regular cadre for camp preparation of various camps, B and C certificate examinations.
  10.    Guest lectures are organised by various experts in their specialized topics.

The Kirti College NCC unit under the aegis of 5 Mah Girls Bn NCC began its activities with full zest, zeal and enthusiasm in July 2010 with a strength of 91 new first year cadets under the Leadership of CSUO Sumaira Sayed, CJUO Ankita Ghadshi, CJUO Anjali Shinde,CJUO Uma Potdar.

After the initial training, a Promise parade was held on 15th August 2010 where the cadets took oath from the Principal Dr. V. N. Magare. Independence Day was celebrated with great pride. A cultural programme depicting the various dances of India was presented by the cadets. The programme was highly appreciated by everyone present.

Various Camps Attended by our Cadets

Annual Training Camp was held at Palghar, Thane 25 cadets attended the camp under the Leadership of Capt Urmila Sarkar. Our college bagged 2nd position in the Group Dance competition. SGT Mamta Pai secured the 1st position in Solo Dance Competition. CJUO Kanchan Chiplunkar was felicitated for being the Best Camp Senior.

National Integration Camp was held at Jalgaon, Amravati from 20th May to 1st June 2010. Cdt Namarata Pai, Cdt Manda Misal and Cdt Kiran Upalkar attended this camp. Maharashtra Directorate bagged the 1st position in the Group Dance Competition.

CQMS Kanchan Chiplunkar, SGT Priyanka Patil and SGT Swapnali Shete attended Thal sainik camp at JNPT, Uran from 14th June to 26th June 2010. CQMS Kanchan Chiplunkar secured second position in obstacle training.

CSM Swapnali Shinde, CDT Pranita Chachale and CDT Pooja Rampurkar attended the Medical attachment Camp held at INS Ashwini Hospital in Colaba from 14th June to 26th June. CSM Swapnali Shinde first position in medical exams.

Thal Sainik cum Annual Training Camp was held at JNPT, Uran from 17th Aug to 26th Aug 2010. 23 cadets attended this camp under the leadership of CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar. Our cadets bagged the 1st prize for Flag area and Group dance. They also bagged 2nd prize for Group song and Line. area. They were the winners in the Throw Ball competition

Further CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar, SGT Priyanka Patil, SGT Swapnali Shete were selected for the Group Selection Camp-2(TSC) from 30th Aug to 8th Sept 2010. Here CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar was awarded with the Best Overall Cadet award

Passing all the selection processes CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar was selected for the TSC CAT-1 Camp at Pune from 8th Sept to 17th Sept

Annual Training Camp cum Republic Day Camp was held at JNPT, Uran from 20th Sept to 30th Sept 2010. 10 cadets attended this camp under the leadership of CDT. Nisha Bhagat. Cdt Priyanka Redekar secured 1st place in the Individual Drill Competition.

Group Selection Camp-l (RDC) was held at JNPT Uran from 02nd Nov to 12th Nov 2010. Cdt Nisha Bhagat, Cdt Priyanka Redekar and Cdt Vaishali Shinde attended this camp, they were in the RDC Cultural Group.

Cdt Nisha Bhagat, Cdt Priyanka Redekar and Cdt Vaishali Shinde were further selected for the Group Selection Camp-2(RDC) held at Uran from 17th Nov to 27th Nov 2010.

CDT. Nisha Bhagat and CDT Priyanka Redekar were selected for RDC CAT-1 (Cultural) held at Pune from the 27thNov to 06thDec 2010.

An All India Leadership Camp was held at Barauni, Bihar from the 10th Nov to 21st Nov 2010. CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar and CDT Sumegha Tambe attended this camp. Here the Maharashtra Directorate bagged the 1st place in the Group Dance Competition.CSUO Kanchan Chiplunkar was the senior of the Maharahtra Directorate and also secured the Title of the Best Parade Commander.

An All India Trekking Camp was held at Darjiling, West Bengal from the 21st Nov to 2nd Dec 2010. CQMS Seema Shelar and CSM Archana Ghadge attended this camp and were in the group dance which bagged the 1st position in the Group Dance Competition .CSM Archana Ghadge also secured the Best Trekkers Award.

A mini-ATC camp was organized from 24th Dec 2010 to 04th Jan 2011 in the college campus in which 65 cadets participated under the leadership Capt. Urmila Sarkar. Cadets were given training of different NCC subjects. Various competitions were conducted to boost the morale of the cadets. The camp concluded by an Annual NCC DAY on the 03rd JAN 2011 where Mr. M.D.Jha (Retd IPS), Head of the Security Department, ONGC was the Chief Guest for the event.


  • 25 cadets under the leadership of Capt. Urmila Sarkar attended the rally held at Palghar to create awareness among the people about the dreadful hazards of tobacco on the 07th July 2010.
  • 27 Cadets participated in tree plantation programme. 15 plants were planted in the college campus on the 26th of July 2010.
  • 50 cadets participated in the interaction cum lecture on the harmful effects of drugs which are taken by the college youth on a large scale this programme was organized by the Mumbai Police (Narcotics Dept) in our college itself.
  • 20 cadets took part in the Pulse Polio Program organized by the BMC. It was a one week program which was held at the Dadar Station.
  • A Save Electricity rally was organized on the 11th of Nov 2010 in and around Dadar. 55 cadets participated in this rally. Thereafter Capt Urmilla Sarkar acquainted cadets with the importance of saving electricity through a lecture.
  • About 33 cadets participated in the lecture and exhibition on the security measures in India on 13th Dec 2010 on the occasion of the National Security Day held in the NMITD organized by an NGO called FINS.
  • International AIDS Day was Observed on the 1st of Dec 2010 cadets distributed red ribbons and pamphlets to the college students. Cadets had also organized a Poster Presentation in the college campus.


  • We feel proud to mention that our Cadets participated in the International Conference on the Environmental Problems, on the 8th, 9th and the 10th Jan 2011. Cadets presented a cultural program depicting the culture of India in the NMITD. The Dances were well appreciated by all the guests.
  • On the 26th of January 2011, Republic Day the Security Department of Air India invited our prestigious Band squad to participate in their Republic Day Ceremonial Parade.
  • We also feel very proud to mention that our Ex-cadet Sgt Shraddha Kudalkar participated in the National Level Shooting Competition held at Assam in month of November. She bagged a God and Silver medal at me senior ana Junior levels respectively.
